INFORMATION BULLETIN #00-88 September 21, 2000 Sustainable Fisheries Division 2:30 p.m. 907-586-7228 NMFS ANNOUNCES R&R WORKSHOP AT FISH EXPO The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Region, and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) North Pacific Regional Fisheries Training Center will present a workshop at FISH EXPO concerning 2001 recordkeeping and reporting (R&R) requirements at 50 CFR part 679 for the Alaska groundfish fisheries, according to James W. Balsiger, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS. The workshop will include discussion of proposed changes to the R&R requirements along with instructions for completion and submittal of the required forms and logsheets. Suggestions and feedback on existing procedures are welcome. The workshop at FISH EXPO is scheduled for November 17, 2000, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in Room 310, at the Washington State Trade and Convention Center, Seattle, WA.
