NMFS and the North Pacific Fishery Management Council have prepared a Final
Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Fishery Management Plan for
the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) King and Tanner
Crabs. The proposed action was to rationalize the BSAI crab fisheries by allocating
harvesting and processing privileges to participants. The EIS examines the
effects of the proposed action, and alternatives to the proposed action,
on the human
environment. More information >>>.
